Washington HQ - Valey Forge

Washington spent one winter in this house, where as; Morristown, NJ he spent two winters.

This is the back of the dwelling. As you walk down from the train station ... this is the view of the house.

Front.
Far side of the house. Door opened up to a 'mud' room.

Kitchen oven ... extended beyond the building.
Life Guard Quarters ... behind the house. (Secret Service)

Princeton - Einstein Homes

We took a 2 1/2 hour walking tour with this gentlemen ... he was wonderful!!
This was his second home where he lived most of his life in America.

This was his first house in America and he lived here about 2 years.

Princeton Chapel

These arches are off the back of the church.

Philadelphia Old Secret Street

While in Philadelphia, we walked everyday ... all day and while doing so we attempted to take different streets wherever we went. Well, we found this special little area that reminded us of "Elfreth Street" albeit not advertised. There were 3 streets and it was so beautiful, quiet, yes and even quaint. Hard to believe in this huge metropolis.

Jefferson's Virginia University

Jefferson designed this building in the image of the Pantheon. Behind the main building he designed what they still call the "lawn". He designed houses and dorms down both sides of the "lawn".

Each house was designated for a European country. They served meals in the cuisine of the particular country and it was required that one eating there must speak the language of that country. (It didn't last long ... )

Dome Room was used for classes and as a library.
