Jefferson's Monticello

Carolyn once again did her homework and found that Monticello has a "twilight" tour. There is a limit of 20 people and you get to go into the "dome" ... the tour is in the evening after closing and it very special.

Jefferson did not like wasting space on stairs ... women of the day ... while in their ballroom gowns would not have fit in the stairwell. (oops ... I don't remember for what purpose the dome room was used.)
