North Philadelphia Murals

There are 3k Murals in Philadelphia. The idea was to bring art to the public at all levels. We toured some of the poorer areas ... these were some of the murals we viewed.

This one happened to be further into the city ... it is the most expensive of all 3k murals. It cost 1/4m to create. It was completed with very small tiles.

The man in the middle of this mural was "real". He was selling flowers.

This represented 'victims' of crime.

This represents the victims, criminals and forgiveness or hope.

Artist often use actual people from the neighborhood.

The murals are in areas like this...

This is the one I liked.
